In this project we apply Artificial Intelligence to Kiwi fruit package images to verify that the label exists and that the packaging is not broken, as a final quality control.
Thanks to this system, food waste associated with returns of packages with these defects can be reduced. In addition, costs and energy are saved by avoiding processing and transporting defective products, the possibilities of reworking the defective product to convert it into a suitable product are increased, and brand image is improved by reducing returns.
This solution has been developed with our Logivision software, which is also used to view detections in real time and store a history of detections.
